Contemporary issues in RTAs

Published in honour of Dr. Gbenga Gregory Obideyi, who retired from the ECOWAS Commission on 30th June, 2020 as Director of Trade, this book is a collection of his past and present efforts in regional trade reforms for a productive and sustainable ECOWAS region. It explores both the economic and political aspects of Regional Trade Agreements (RTAs). This is because the pre-conditons for a smooth, rapid and successful RTA can be both political and economic. It also offers opportunity to many colleagues who had benefitted from his wisdom to offer their appreciation by contributing to the collection on different areas of regional integration.
